AR9 80 Lower

The AR9 80% lower is the answer to all those wobbly and unreliable AR-15 9mm box conversion kits. With the 9mm AR-type carbine exploding in popularity, it only made sense to introduce a dedicated 9mm 80% lower receiver that was reliable and required no box conversion to use 9mm magazines.

Compatible with Glock® Magazines, AR-15 Parts

Most AR9s and PCCs function with either Glock® or Colt SMG magazines. We chose Glock® compatibility for their magazines' availability, quality, and generally low prices. No custom components or fitment is required to make your AR9 lower function. The magazine well is designed specifically for all factory and aftermarket Glock® mags, and the magazine release and ejector both come installed for easier assembly.

To make assembly even easier, we made sure these AR9 lowers work with mil-spec AR-15 components, too. That means you'll still use a standard AR-15 lower parts kit and trigger, buffer tube, recoil spring, and pistol brace or buttstock. Since the exterior dimensions are so similar to that of an AR-15 5.56/.223 receiver, the typical AR-15 80% jig will work for cutting and drilling your 9mm lower, too. Jigs will be marked as such for your convenience.

AR9 Bolt Carrier Group Compatibility

To complete your build, we recommend selecting an AR9 upper assembly or build kit that utilizes the PSA G-9 Hybrid Bolt Carrier Group (compatible with stripped AR-15 uppers, Glock® magazines, and the AR9 80% lower). All AR9 pistol kits include the G-9 BCG and appropriate upper assembly. If you opt for another type of 9mm upper, ensure you select a BCG that is ramped on the underside.

Why an 80% Lower for the AR9?

Why not just buy a stripped lower receiver? Using an 80% lower for your AR9 build means you don't have to pay extra for a special, brand-name receiver that's dedicated for the AR9 platform. Since 80% receivers aren't considered firearms, they don't require an FFL, backgroundcheck, extra taxes, or transfer paperwork to buy and own under federal law. That saves you money that you can spend on custom parts, accessories, ammo, and gear.

Legal to Build Under Federal Law

AR9 receiver blanks and all other 80% lower receivers are not considered firearms under the ATF's policies or federal law. These units can be bought, shipped, and owned in most states without the need to conduct a background check. You don't need to visit an FFL or have your 80% lower transferred with paperwork, nor does it need to be serialized under federal law.

State Laws May Vary

Contrary to federal law, some states have either restricted or banned the sale, transfer, and ownership of 80% lowers, firearm blanks, and other gun parts. Because of these restrictions, we cannot ship our products to certain states. Please confirm whether your state is restricted on our Shipping & Return Policy before placing an order. We cannot fulfill orders to restricted states if placed.

Your custom AR9 build awaits.
