This video is designed to provide an overview of the process of completing an 80% lower with the patented Easy Jig design. You can download the entire manual at this link: http://www.80percentarms.com/pages/easy-jig-information We offer a tool kit containing all the tools needed to finish the jig: http://www.80percentarms.com/collections/lower-jigs/products/easy-jig-tool-kit If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. *We do NOT recommend using the Black and Decker router used in part of this video. After using it to complete a large number of lowers, it did not perform as well as other routers we tested. We provide model numbers to two inexpensive quality routers on our website. The Porter Cable router shown in this video works very well, we highly recommend it.

Always been interested in machining, this product gives you a taste. The tooling is as near to perfection as you can get. The quality could not be any better. The price is amazing for the quality you get, they really knocked it out of the park. I really enjoyed the experience.

Compared to other lowers, these happen to be my favorite for a couple of reasons. The main one being that they have Fire and Safe engraved indicators on the lower. Especially considering the fact that I will not only be me firing this weapon, I feel safe knowing that it is clearly indicated for my both my wife and grandchildren. The 5 count of lowers is a great value as well, I’m doing this with my son, so just in case one of them gets botched, it’s nice to have a couple extra laying around as well. Though I don’t see how they could get botched, because the jig comes with built-in drill bit depth guides which is a nice feature that previous jigs I have did not have at all, so it’s a welcomed feature. All 5 lowers are up the mil spec as advertised. It is also very helpful that this kit is made in the US, as well as not needing any FFL, so it is very convenient to have it shipped directly to my house instead of to a gun shop.

Using a router and Easy Jig makes finishing lower uncomplicated.

Running the first one through the finishing process was a bit time consuming, not because of the product but getting my router to operate as I wanted. Had to work through depth of cut issues versus speed of router to make it go smoothly. The videos on Youtube don't talk enough about the use of a collar guide for router and what that resultant 1/16" can do to the finished product. Make sure that if you use a collar you go back in to the trigger well without it and take that 1/16" out or your trigger will rub on the wall of the mag well. Tolerances are tight, make sure depth is good before you assemble or you will have to do final passes again. Now that I know these things it will be quick to turn another into a fully functional well made lower ready to go.
