1911 Build Kits
The 1911 is America's favorite handgun. Now you can legally and confidently build a quality, precision, U.S. made shooter of your own -- chambered in good ole' .45 ACP or 9mm -- from scratch! These 1911 Build Kits all feature top-tier components crafted by some of the nation's best gunsmiths. The star of the show is the new and wildly improved mil-spec aluminum frame. By replacing the archaic steel frame found on the 19th century's iteration of the 1911, a 60% overall weight reduction is achieved. Coupled with a perfectly balanced, hardened steel slide and buttery smooth parts kit, you won't just build your 1911 as a gimmick, you'll wind up owning a handgun that competes with retail guns sporting a 4-digit price tag.

Compatibility with Retail 1911 Parts
These 1911 Build Kits are precisely CNC machined and adhere 100% to the 1911's original design. This guarantees compatibility with any OEM or aftermarket retail components you may purchase later to upgrade or reconfigure your handgun. Zero fitting or extra work is required on any parts kit components -- only the 80% 1911 frame itself needs to be cut and drilled using the Stealth Arms 1911 Jig. The Stealth Arms Jig includes the required drill bits and cutting car for completing the frame blank to a ready-to-assemble state.

"Is building a handgun at home really legal?"
In most cases, yes! Federal law (supported by the Gun Control Act of 1968 and decades of ATF precedent) states that as long as you're a private citizen building a firearm at home for personal use -- and not for sale or the purposes of commercial manufacturing -- it is legal to do. You don't need to apply a serial number to your frame or weapon, and you don't have to file any paperwork with the federal government, ATF, or a local or online FFL. Everything included in the 1911 Build Kit is not considered a firearm under federal law. That means your kit ships directly to your front door like any other product purchased online. Only once you've begun machining the frame blank is it considered a firearm.
Some states, like California and New York, have banned gun-making kits like this or consider these to be firearms, contrary to Federal law. Be sure to check all local and state laws before purchasing and building. We cannot fulfill orders or shipments to certain states.
