Some have said that the 9mm round has less felt recoil than that of a .45acp. If you're one who also feels this way, but you'd still like to build a 1911, then read on. We're bringing you a 9mm version of the Stealth Arms 80% 1911 tactical frame. It comes to you already anodized in the sleek black color, and the rail underneath allows for mounting of a tac light or laser.
Stealth Arms makes their 80% 1911 frames from 7075 aluminum instead of the standard steel frame. This means two things: one, you'll have an easier time finishing the milling process on it, and two, being aluminum, the frame is about 60% lighter than your standard 1911 frame, Combine that with the fact this one comes to you in the commander size, and you get a 1911 that'll be a considerably more comfortable carry. Plus, it comes in 9mm, so you can still carry the rounds you love and still tote the gun too.
The best part is that since this is an 80% 1911 frame and not a fully completed one, completing the frame yourself from a legality standpoint makes you the "manufacturer," and thus there's no FFL or additional paperwork required to have it sent right to your door.
