Description
Who says an AR can't reach out and ring 12" of steel at 800, even 1,000 meters? We don't because we threw together this incredibly accurate LR-308 rifle kit! Sporting a 416R Crucible barrel with the gold-standard 1:10 twist and enough length for optimal velocity, this LR-308 kit will allow you to confidently land .308 Winchester or 7.62x51 NATO confidently at distances you never thought you could reach. Each kit is based on DPMS' .308 platform, the modern commercial alternative to ArmaLite's original AR-10 design. This guide covers the two platforms in detail.
What’s Included
This kit is not a firearm. It includes an assembled upper receiver, bolt carrier group, lower parts kit, and buffer assembly with buttstock. It does not include the component to make a firearm: A stripped lower receiver. Pair this rifle kit with an AR-10/LR-308 80% lower receiver and AR-10/LR-308 jig to fabricate a receiver, sold separately.

No FFL or serialization is required to fabricate a receiver under federal law. However, state laws vary. Some states require serialization or have banned 80% lowers and gun-making kits. We encourage each and every builder to perform their own research about the state and federal laws that apply to them.
